Glenn Cockrell
I was raised in a suburb of Columbia SC and lived there from 1958 till 1992.I attended the University of SC and worked to pay my tuition till I graduated with a BA in Marketing. The job I had in Columbia SC was as an Industrial Sales / Marketing and Automation Manager at an Electrical Distributor from 1982 - 1991 I then was promoted to VP of Sales in 1992. The promotion required me to move to Greenville SC so my family moved to Greer SC in 1992. Later, I started my own company in 2003 and am currently self employed at GCSC Inc.

I became involved in Men's Ministry after my Mentor and Father in Law passed away from cancer in 1988. I became aware of the vacuum that was left in my life and prayed for someone new to take his place.

In November 1989 I was invited to go on a mission trip to Kenya in July of 1990. The missionary asked that we pray that God would provide the money the time and the way and if He did then we would go. I prayed and by February 1990 I had the money provided by the president of the company I worked for, the three weeks vacation provided by the branch manager I worked for and the way provided by my church. I came back from the mission trip a completely changed man; I finally understood God's vision for Missions and His Love for all people.

That trip created a bond between me and my Pastor in Columbia SC, who soon became my Mentor. He feed me with books and opportunities to share my talents in Men's Ministry.
In 1992 the new job in Greenville SC took me to a new church in Greer SC and the opportunity to help start a new Men's Ministry at that church. My new Pastor in Greer,SC was eager to go with me to a new Men's Movement called Promise Keepers Denver Co stadium event in the mid 1993. The PK Event bonded my new Pastor to me as a Mentor and further opportunities to serve in Men's Ministry. I attended all the PK conferences up to the Stand in the Gap conference in Washington DC.

In the late 1990's I was asked to lead seminars in the "Salt and Light" SC Southern Baptist Men's Conference in Lexington SC. My seminar was titled "Transitioning Your Men's Ministry to a Ministry to Men" and I presented it yearly till the event was canceled in the early 2000's. During that time I became involve with Pat Morley and used the Man in the Mirror material to encourage men to meet in small groups. Soon I was offered the opportunity to conduct my seminar in Charleston SC at the "Iron Sharpens Iron" conference sponsored by the CCMI. I spoke at all the conference till 2013. I have helped lead Men's Ministries in 3 churches, I have spoken to many churches to promote Ministry to Men groups.

In 2013 an offer came from a lawyer friend to help me create a new 501C3 to help promote Men's Ministry in the churches of the Upstate of SC. So, "Upstate Ministries to Men" was created and a Board was selected. We have conducted 2 "Iron Sharpens Iron" conference and have expanded our ministry to include "The Barn" and the "Omega Men's Conferences".

2015 promises to be the best year yet, I look forward to what God has planned
Who knew that a life filled with unfinished goals and dead end roads would transform into targets acquired and multiple roads of opportunity. Sean Hamilton found these things out on a road most often traveled. Raised in a single parent, Christian home, he became involved in illegal activities in high school, drugs mostly. He spent time in and out of prisons from his late teens to his mid-thirties. After almost two decades of wrestling against all he had been taught as a young man by his mother from the Word of God, he found himself flat on his back at the end of a dead end dirt road. Reality set in and a choice was finally made, a choice to totally surrender to Jesus Christ.

Since then Sean underwent a yearlong intense discipling and an Internship at Wisdom In Living Life Ministries. He graduated from Holmes Bible College with a degree in Christian Ministry and was blessed with a beautiful wife, Michelle and their son named Josef. In June 2011, Sean was ordained and elected as Pastor of Evangelism Outreach at Renfrew Baptist Church and is now Youth Director at Resurrection Power Ministries, both located in Travelers Rest SC.

Sean desires is to see lives completely transformed, redirected and equipped with the necessary tools to continue in making forward progress in Christ Jesus.
I am an Area Director for Man in the Mirror, and we strive to see Jesus' Great Commission become a reality by helping every church disciple every man. I am part of a national movement to equip 30,000 churches to collectively disciple 1,000,000 new men in the next decade. My role is to proactively connect with and engage church leaders and pastors regarding the benefits and opportunities related to discipling men in their local church here in the Upstate of SC.

I help identify the churches that are ready to engage immediately with our ministry and others worth pursuing/developing. We serve church leaders in the community to build meaningful relationships with other churches to develop a coalition in working together in creating new disciples.

Our goal is help churches implement the Journey to Biblical Manhood or other intentional men's discipleship strategies. I have been heavily involved with men's discipleship since 2000. I have lead men's studies and provide guest speaking in small and large groups. I have been married since 1996 and have 2 boys.

Transforming Men!
I maintain the websites for The Barn Ministry and Upstate Ministries to Men, and I am one of the founders of Upstate Ministries to Men. I am currently a licensed minister, lead a men's group in my home church, and I am in graduate school where I am pursing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have three beautiful daughters and I am married to the love of my life for 18 years now. My specific calling is ministry to men, and discipleship.

I believe that it is time for men to fulfill their Biblical roles in the home, in the church and in the community, and be all that God has called us all to be.

If we are to reach the children of this generation and the next; we must start with their fathers. The Bible says that in the end times, God will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.

I believe the men of God need to stand up, stand together, take responsibility, assume their proper Biblical roles and realize that we are here for "such a time as this" and that we must be about the Father's business while there is still time to work!
My Website
"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age." (Titus 2:11-12)

God is calling us to live in a manner that reflects Him. In the day we live, I believe it is more important than ever that for the glory of God and that we may be used by Him to further the Kingdom and to lift up Christ so that all men will be drawn to Him; that it is absolutely imperative and necessary that we all Return to Purity in our lives, our thoughts, our words and our deeds. We cannot truly follow Christ if we do not desire to be like Him.

1 Timothy 4:12b tell us:
"Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."
